daisy chain summer love. i am going to start doing giveaways.

so today is my first giveaway day!

i am sure there will be kinks to work out, and what not and of course if no one participates it might be a bit awkward, but honestly bring on the awkward – if you won’t, i surely will.

today’s giveaway was inspired by tomorrow being the first day of july.

hot hot july, and when i looked at my daisy chain kits, it just made me instantly think of summer.

so i am doing a make your own daisy chain kit giveaway in celebration of summer!

all you need to do to win a completely free kit (including shipping) is leave me a comment about what you love about summer.

i will announce the winner at the end of the day on July 3.

i would also like to state that if you happen not to have children, and just want an awesome daisy chain kit for yourself, and want to comment to win, there is no judgement here.

carry on my friend, carry on.

Summer means to me running thru the sprinklers to cool off. And I love doing that with my grandchildren and to hear their giggles is music to my ears. So everyone have a wonderful summer and stay cool.

I love that summer means time enjoying the outdoors with my two year old little girl that’s growing up WAY TOO FAST. Living in MN means snow or cold for 3/4 of the year so I can’t stress enough how completely and utterly AWESOME our beautiful summers are!

spontaneity. summer is care free. even with kids, you can decide on the fly to run out after the ice cream truck, stay out late or ditch dinner in favor of desert first! why not?!? it’s summer!!!

Hard to say what I love most about summer, but I think the best thing to say is that it reminds me of home. I’m from Australia and the harsh cold American winters are long and unfamiliar, lovely but unfamiliar.

Summer brings with it all the wonderful things I remember about home – warm winds, summer rain, sprinklers and best of all a bright warm sun. What’s new here is the lush green trees (not so green at home sometimes) and the absence of the faint smell of eucalyptus. Oh alright we can’t smell the eucalyptus, but it was a little poetic right?

This summer is especially fun for me, as it is my daughter’s first.
She is too small to run through a sprinkler, and I know better than to let her delicate skin in the sun without a nice hat, but we will stroll through the parks and their green trees and I’ll run through the sprinkler…….

Loving this blog by the way!

Corn on the cob, cold sweet watermelon, catching lighting bugs and picking fruit from the farm.

Summer is stealing even more time away from the office to enjoy every outdoor moment outdoors with my little one. At 2 1/2, she insists on “shoes without socks,” has finally learned to tolerate sunscreen, and jumps at every opportunity to ride a swing, plant a flower, or don a swmsuit.
